Studied at the ballet studio of the Omsk Musical Theatre, after graduating worked at that theatre as a ballet dancer.
In 1998 Oleg Glushkov entered the Russian University of Theatre Arts (GITIS). Since 2002, he teaches there at the department of stage dance.
As a choreographer, he worked at the Vakhtangov Theatre, the Moscow Drama Theater on Malaya Bronnaya Street, the ApARTe Theatre, the Novosibirsk State Academic Theatre, the Russian Theatre of Estonia and prepared many students’ productions at the GITIS.
As a director, he collaborated with the School of Modern Play Theatre (his co-production Gvidon was awarded with the Golden Mask Theatre Award in 2011), the School of Dramatic Art Theatre, the Lenkom Theatre (his Peer Gynt, co-production with Mark Zakharov, was awarded in 2011 with the Russian Federation Government Prize).
Oleg Glushkov choreographed musicals Ordinary Miracle and You Can’t Choose the Time You Live In. He also worked with the cinema director Valery Todorovsky on his film Hipsters (2008). The film won several Golden Eagle Awards and prestigious Nika Awards, including Best Film in both.
